Who I Am

I was born in 1977, Caracas, Venezuela. As professional photographer I have a long career extends about 15 years. Right now I live and work in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

My first professional steps date from 1997 when I begin to work in cinematography postproduction, and at the same time, as assistant of photography direction for commercials. Previously I had some years practice analogic photography with autodidact curiosity.

In 1999 I decide formalize studies in the Audiovisual Media Faculty of Merida University (Venezuela), focusing my attention to practices and techniques in photo lab, there development my eye as portraitist and fashion photographer.

Ten years later, I moved to Caracas, where I worked as freelance photographer, Lab Chief in the Roberto Mata’s Photography Workshop and as professor in introduction subjects to the black and white photography, communicating and transmitting my passion to young beginners in the world of photography.

In 2011, I moved to Dominican Republic to establish an independent study of wedding, portrait & fashion photography with headquarters in Bávaro. RANDT Photo is my company, which provides services throughout the island, the Caribean or where be required.
